
Madden Daneault has been selected first overall in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.
The Kelowna Rockets have selected Madden Daneault first overall in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. The 15-year-old spent last season with the Red Deer Rebels U15 AAA team. Daneault also played three games at the U18 level in 2025-26.
Daneault lit up the AEHL U15 league last year. Listed at 5'11", 172 lbs, he scored 65 goals while adding 149 points in 34 games. Daneault also served as captain of his team this season.
As for the playoffs, Daneault had no problems finding the back of the net. He scored 11 times, while recording 22 points in nine games. Daneault has won the John Reid Memorial MVP in each of the last two years and was voted to the AEHL U15 First All-Star Team in 2024-25 and 2025-26.
