After picking up their league-leading 46th win of the season Tuesday night, the Saskatoon Blades clinched both the East Division and Eastern Conference crown for the 2023-24 WHL regular season. It is the first time Saskatoon has won their division since 2013, while they pick up the Eastern Conference crown for the first time since 2011. The Blades currently lead the WHL with 97 points and have a chance at both the 50-win and 100-point mark this season.

Saskatoon has built one of the strongest teams in the CHL. Up front, they are led by Trevor Wong, Yegor Sidorov, Fraser Minten, Alexander Suzdalev and Brandon Lisowsky. At the same time, their defence features high-end defenders such as Tanner Molendyk, Ben Saunderson and Grayden Siepmann. They also have one of the best goaltending tandems in the CHL, with Austin Elliott and Evan Gardner, who have combined for seven shutouts during the season. A team with no visible weaknesses, they will be a favourite to represent the WHL at this year's Memorial Cup.
