Victoria became the fifth Western Conference team to clinch a playoff spot this season.

The Victoria Royals are headed to the playoffs for the first time in five years. The Royals qualified via the Tri-City Americans loss to the Kelowna Rockets on Wednesday. Through 62 games, Victoria has 65 points, which is the most they have had in a season since 2019-20.
Led by Dawson Pasternak and super rookie Cole Reschny, the Royals have put together an impressive season. Their coaching change early in the year has been a massive difference-maker, while their mix of youth and experience has helped turn them into a solid offensive team. The next step for Victoria will be attempting to clinch home-ice advantage in the first round, which could come down to the wire as they are just one point behind the Wenatchee Wild for fourth in the West.
