Tristan Petersen is headed back to Penticton.
Tristan Petersen is headed back to the Penticton Vees. After being acquired by the Saskatoon Blades a month ago, the Vees brought back the 20-year-old Danish forward on Friday. In exchange for Petersen, the Blades will receive a 2027 ninth-round draft pick.
In a press release, Saskatoon General Manager Colin Priestner wrote, "Some recent developments have come up that will potentially change our import situation, so we felt the most fair thing to do for Tristen was send him back to his old team, as they had a 20-spot recently open up and expressed a desire to have him back."
Last season, Petersen recorded 36 points in 63 games and helped Penticton capture the B.C. Division crown. As for the playoffs, he recorded six points in 15 games. The Vees kick off their 2026-27 campaign on September 18 against the Prince George Cougars.
