A look at which WHLers stood out in Canada's Semi-Finals win against Sweden.

Team Canada is off to the Gold Medal Game after a 5-4 semi-final win over Team Sweden at the 2024 IIHF World U18 Championship. WHLers played a massive role in the game, scoring three of Canada's five goals en route to victory. Here is a look at three WHLers who stood out in the win.
Tij Iginla- Kelowna Rockets/Canada
Leading the way offensively for Canada was Tij Iginla. The Kelowna Rockets star had a goal and an assist while being tied for the team lead with three shots on goal. Named Player of the Game, Iginla continues to demonstrate just how talented he is and that he can be a game-breaker when his country needs him the most.
Gavin McKenna- Medicine Hat Tigers/Canada
Gavin McKenna once again put on a spectacular performance. He scored a highlight reel goal and ended the night as Canada's new point record holder at a single tournament. If Canada is going to beat the USA in the finals, McKenna will have to be their best player, just like he has been all tournament.
Harrison Brunicke- Kamloops Blazers/Canada
It felt like Harrison Brunicke never left the ice. The Kamloops Blazers defender played 23:27 and was on the ice for just under nine minutes in the third period. He has become one of Canada's most used defencemen in this tournament and is showing he can step up for his team in critical moments.
