
A look at three WHLers who had impressive games for their countries at the 2024 IIHF World U18 Championship.

Thursday was quarter-finals day at the 2024 IIHF World U18 Championship, with Canada and Czechia looking for a spot in the semi-finals. While Canada beat Latvia, Czechia's tournament came to an end after a loss to Slovakia. Here is a look at three WHLers who had standout performances on May 2.
Gavin McKenna- Medicine Hat Tigers/Canada
While Gavin McKenna only had one assist, he was dominant en route to a 4-0 win over Latvia. The Medicine Hat Tigers forward had a team-high five shots and was able to set up teammates in high-danger areas all game. Now, with 15 points in five games, he has officially tied the all-time record for points by a Canadian at a single tournament.
Harrison Brunicke- Kamloops Blazers/Canada
Harrison Brunicke was one of the more impressive defencemen on the night for Canada. The Kamloops Blazers defender had two assists while recording 18:12 of ice time. The points leader among Canadian defencemen with four in five games, his draft stock should continue to rise with a strong performance in the semi-finals.
Adam Titlbach- Vancouver Giants/Czechia
Adam Titlbach had a strong performance in Czechia's final game of the tournament. He scored his first goal of the tournament while leading Czechia with four shots on goal. Titlbach finished the tournament with three points in five games and will now turn his focus to the 2024 NHL Draft.
