On Thursday, the WHL announced three more year-end award recipients. Kelowna Rockets forward Ty Hurley was named Humanitarian of the Year, Lethbridge Hurricanes defenceman Noah Chadwick won Scholastic Player of the Year, while Moose Jaw Warriors forward Brayden Yager was named Most Sportsmanlike Player. As a result of winning WHL awards, all three will be eligible for CHL awards at the end of the season.

Hurley took home the Doug Wickenheiser Memorial Trophy after saving someone's life back in December. The Rockets forward saw a man drowning in a hotel pool and jumped into action to save him. For his actions, Hurley was also presented with the Silver Medal of Merit and the M.G. Griffiths Award by the Lifesaving Society, B.C. and Yukon, at the 112th annual Commonwealth Awards for Honour and Rescue.

As for Chadwick, he takes home this year's Daryl K. (Doc) Seaman Memorial Trophy. According to the WHL, "Chadwick graduated Grade 12 a year early and began his post-secondary studies at Athabasca University and Lethbridge College. At his high school graduation, Chadwick was recognized with the Governor General Award, which was presented to the student with the highest grades in his graduating class."

Lastly, Yager took home the Brad Hornung Memorial Trophy for the second consecutive season. This is the third straight season Yager has won an award after being named WHL and CHL Rookie of the Year in 2022. Yager also became just the seventh player to win the Brad Hornung Memorial Trophy multiple times, joining Tyler Ennis, Kris Russell, Matt Kinch, Steve Tsujiura, Steve Tambellini and Ron Chipperfield.
