Lamb led the Cougars to a BC Division title as well as the number one seed in the Western Conference.
After leading the Prince George Cougars to their best season since relocating to Prince George, Mark Lamb has been named winner of both the Lloyd Saunders Memorial Trophy and the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy. The Lloyd Saunders Memorial Trophy is given out to the WHL's top executive, while the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy is awarded to the WHL's top coach. As Coach of the Year, Lamb will be the WHL's nomination for the Brian Kilrea Coach of the Year Award, given out during the Memorial Cup to the CHL's top coach.
It has been a historic season for Lamb and the Cougars. With a record of 49-15-1-3, they captured their second division title since moving to Prince George in 1994 while also surpassing the 100-point mark for the first time. Lamb has also helped multiple players Like Zac Funk, Riley Heidt, and Terik Parascak establish new team records while guiding his team to the Western Conference Final.
