Wednesday night featured plenty of intriguing and exciting hockey. While the Portland Winterhawks went up 3-1, the Saskatoon Blades found a way to tie their series at 2-2. Here is a recap of all the action from May 1.
Portland Winterhawks 5, Prince George Cougars 2
Series: Portland Leads 3-1
The Winterhawks continued their dominance this postseason, defeating the Prince George Cougars 5-2 in Game 5. Nate Danielson was fantastic, scoring once and adding three assists, while Marcus Nguyen continued his strong series with two goals and an assist. Portland will now have a chance to close out the series tomorrow night and become the first team to book their spot in the WHL Final.

Saskatoon Blades 5, Moose Jaw Warriors 4 (OT)
Series: Tied 2-2
For the third time in four games, the Blades and the Moose Jaw Warriors needed more than 60 minutes to find a winner. This time, it was Saskatoon's Egor Sidorov, whose 13th of the playoffs ended the game with just over three minutes left in the extra frame. In the win, Evan Gardner stopped 33 of the 27 shots he faced, while Brayden Yager led the way for the Warriors with two goals and an assist.
