
The Philadelphia Flyers have selected Matthew Gard 57th overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old center was the 13th WHLer selected and fourth of the second round. Listed at 6'5", 195 lbs, Gard won a Gold Medal with Team Canada at this year's U18s.
Gard had a productive second season in the WHL. He recorded 36 points in 66 games before producing four points in seven games at the U18s. Gard is a physical force who projects as a fourth-line player at the NHL level.
