Heidt passed Jansen Harkins for the all-time points lead on Sunday.

On Sunday night, Riley Heidt made history by becoming the Prince George Cougars' all-time assists with 169 and points leader with 243. Both milestones came on the same play as he set up Carlin Dezainde late in the third period. He was also celebrating his 200th game as a Cougar, becoming the 44th player in franchise history to hit the milestone.
Originally drafted second overall by Prince George in 2020, Hedit has become one of the playmakers in the WHL. The Minnesota Wild draft pick is up to 80 points on the year and currently sits second in assists with 54. He also has surpassed the 25-goal mark for the second consecutive season and sits 20th all-time in franchise history with 74 goals for his career.
With 21 games remaining in the season, Hedit could also become just the third Cougars player ever to hit 100 points in a season. He also has a chance to join Dan Hamhuis as the only players in franchise history to win the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy given out to the league's MVP. It has been a remarkable season for the Saskatoon-born forward as he looks to help Prince George claim a Memorial Cup berth for the first time in franchise history.
