    When it comes to defensemen, Boston has historically been more than wicked awesome, says Ken Campbell.

    The Boston Bruins celebrated their 100th anniversary last season by naming the top 100 players in franchise history. That list included 30 defensemen if you include Dit Clapper and Doug Mohns, who played both forward and defense for them.

    They did not, however, list them in any order other than alphabetically. If they had been ranking them on merit and accomplishments, there's no doubt the top two would have been blueliners, perhaps even the top three.

    In case you haven't noticed, the Bruins have had a few good rearguards over the years, and that's reflected in their Mount Rushmore.
