Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov did not play during the club's March 26 contest against the Anaheim Ducks. This is because the left-shot defenseman left the team to return to Boston to deal with a family matter.
The Bruins certainly struggled defensively without Zadorov in the lineup, as they lost by a 6-2 final score to the Ducks. However, it appears that No. 91 won't miss more time from here.
Zadorov has returned to the team and was a participant at their March 28 practice. This is certainly good news for the Bruins, especially when noting that the Bruins end their road trip on March 29 against the Detroit Red Wings.
While speaking to reporters, Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco noted that it was good for the team that Zadorov returned to practice.
"It's good to have Z back with the group again," Sacco said. "Skated today and was able to get a practice in before tomorrow. We need him back in there."
Now that Zadorov is back for the Bruins, he will aim to help the team snap their seven-game losing streak from here. In 72 games this season, he has four goals, 17 points, 135 penalty minutes, 183 hits, and a plus-14 rating.
