This Boston Bruins defenseman got his revenge after receiving two questionable hits by Brennan Othmann.

The Boston Bruins played their first preseason game of the year on Sunday, losing to the New York Rangers by a 3-2 final score. While the Bruins picked up the loss, there were still some positive moments from the matchup.
Bruins defenseman Parker Wotherspoon provided one of them. After receiving two questionable hits by Rangers forward Brennan Othmann, Wotherspoon got his revenge by dropping the gloves with the 2021 first-round pick and winning.
After winning the fight, Wotherspoon also threw Othmann's helmet, resulting in the Bruins defender receiving an extra two minutes in the penalty box.
With just over seven minutes left in the first period, Othmann threw a late and high hit on Wotherspoon. Wotherspoon went down the tunnel after the hit but returned to the game for the second period. Othmann got Wotherspoon with another questionable hit during the second period, shortly before the fight.
In the end, it was good to see Wotherspoon stand up for himself after being the recipient of two not-so-clean hits. The 27-year-old is known for his rugged style of play, and he used it at the right time here.

In 41 games last season for the Bruins, Wotherspoon had zero goals, eight assists, 84 hits, and a plus-6 rating.
