The end of the 2024-25 season is almost here for the Boston Bruins. The Original Six club has just eight games remaining before they enter what will be a significant off-season.

After blowing up their roster at the trade deadline, the Bruins will have more decisions to make this summer. They will have a good amount of money to work with this off-season, and time will tell how they plan to use it.

When it comes to the Bruins' pending free agents, we could see some of them let go due to how poorly this campaign has gone. However, the Original Six club has one clear pending restricted free agent they must keep around - Morgan Geekie.

Geekie, 26, has been one of the Bruins' rare bright spots this season. In 69 games, the 6-foot-3 forward has set new career highs with 27 goals and 42 points. This is after he had a very slow start to the season, posting just four points in his first 18 games.

Geekie has thrived since his cold start to the campaign and has notably formed excellent chemistry with superstar David Pastrnak. He is showing no signs of slowing down as this season continues, too, as evidenced by his five goals and seven points in his last six contests.

With all of this, it would be wise for the Bruins to keep Geekie around as they look to become a competitive hockey club again. It will be interesting to see if they do just that from here.
