The Boston Bruins played arguably their worst game of the season on Tuesday (Oct. 29), losing to the Philadelphia Flyers by a 2-0 final score. Their offense was non-existent, and they recorded just three shots on goal during the third period.

Because of this, head coach Jim Montgomery has once again made some massive changes to their forward lines at Wednesday's (Oct. 30) practice.

Johnny Beecher has jumped up the lineup in a big way, as he skated on the first line with Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak. Beecher has been a mainstay on the fourth line for the Bruins, but he is now getting a significant chance on the first line.

Fellow fourth-liner Mark Kastelic has been moved up to the second line and formed a trio with Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm. Lindholm has been the Bruins' first-line center, but they are now testing him out as the 2C.

The third line sported a different look as well, as Max Jones, Charlie Coyle, and Cole Koepke formed it. As for the fourth line, Matthew Poitras centered Trent Frederic and Justin Brazeau. Tyler Johnson and Morgan Geekie were the extra forwards.

Given how cold the Bruins' offense has been, it is not surprising to see Montgomery make some big-time changes to his forward group. Every line is different than their most recent matchup against the Flyers. Let's see if these lines can help the Bruins get out of their early-season slump.
