The Boston Bruins have officially sent one of their forwards down to the AHL.

The Boston Bruins announced on Sunday (Oct. 27) that they have assigned forward Riley Tufte to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
Tufte, 26, was placed on waivers by the Bruins on Friday (Oct. 25) and cleared. Now, the 6-foot-6 winger will look to make a big impact down in Providence from here.
Tufte has played in two games this season with Boston, posting zero points, three hits, and a minus-1 rating.
With Tufte being sent down to the AHL, the Bruins now have roughly $1.1 million of cap space to work with. Thus, this opens the door to another potential move for the Original Six club.
