The Boston Bruins returned to practice on Monday (Oct. 28), and head coach Jim Montgomery tried out a few new forward lines during it.

First, Justin Brazeau was moved up to the second-line right wing spot and skated with Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle. Extra forward Max Jones also took some reps on the second line with Coyle and Brazeau.

Brazeau getting another chance on the second line is understandable. The 6-foot-5 winger has scored in back-to-back games and has looked excellent in the process.

After playing on the second line at right wing against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Matthew Poitras was moved back down to the third-line center spot. Trent Frederic and Morgan Geekie were his wingers.

Tyler Johnson once again practiced with the Bruins on Monday and was an extra forward. At this juncture, he remains without a contract, but we here at The Hockey News Boston argued earlier on Monday that the Bruins should seriously consider changing that.

The Bruins will face off against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday (Oct. 29).
