Boston Bruins forward Elias Lindholm is going to miss a bit more time than expected.

Boston Bruins forward Elias Lindholm has been dealing with an injury since the club's first practice last Thursday (Sept. 19). He was expected to return to practice with the team today (Sept. 24), but things changed on that front.
While speaking with reporters, Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery revealed that Lindholm will miss more time than expected.
Here's what Montgomery said regarding Lindholm's injury:
"He (Lindholm) took the day off. Didn't give it a go today just because of where he's at. He's day to day. Not going to play this week in an exhibition game."
This is undoubtedly less-than-ideal news for Lindholm. With the star center ruled out for this week, he will at least not play in the Bruins' next three pre-season games. With Lindholm looking to build chemistry with his new teammates, this is not the greatest update.

Here's to hoping Lindholm suffers no setbacks from here and can return to game action next week.
