The Boston Bruins should be getting their new star back shortly.

Boston Bruins newcomer Elias Lindholm has been off the ice since suffering an injury during the club's first practice on Thursday. However, it appears that the center will be making his return to the Original Six club shortly.
While speaking with reporters, including WEEI's Bridgette Proulx, on Sunday (Sept. 23), head coach Jim Montgomery shared a promising update regarding Lindholm's return. Here is what the Bruins' bench boss said on the matter:
"He'll skate tomorrow (Sept. 23). See where he's at, and we expect him back on Tuesday (Sept. 24)."
It is good to hear that Lindholm is returning to the ice and is expected to practice with the entire team on Tuesday. Given how important of a player he is expected to be for the Bruins, it is crucial for him to be fully healthy.
After targeting Lindholm for multiple seasons through the trade market, the Bruins finally signed him to a seven-year, $54.25 million contract in free agency. With this move, he is expected to be the Bruins' new first-line center.

Thus, Lindholm's return to the ice is huge. It will now allow him to create chemistry with his new teammates, like expected linemates David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha.
