This Boston Bruins prospect needs to stand out in hopes of making the NHL roster.

The Boston Bruins will play the Washington Capitals tonight (Sept. 24) in their second pre-season game of the year. The Bruins have revealed their roster, and some notable players will be on display.
Bruins top prospect Fabian Lysell is clearly one of them.
Lysell, 21, played in the Bruins' first pre-season game against the New York Rangers, and it was not the best start for the 2021 first-round pick. During the matchup, he had zero shots on goal and made two turnovers. For a skilled player looking to crack the Bruins' NHL roster, this kind of performance was far less than ideal for the youngster.
However, Lysell now has a golden opportunity for redemption in tonight's matchup against the Capitals. If he puts together a stronger performance, it will help make up for his shaky game against the Blueshirts.

Lysell must stand out in this matchup and the rest of the pre-season. The Bruins have a clear hole at the second-line right wing spot, so he could make a real case for himself if he improves his play. However, if he does not show signs of improvement, the prospect of him starting the year with the Providence Bruins would undoubtedly be there.
It will be interesting to see how much of an impact Lysell makes for the Bruins in this upcoming matchup. A big game would help him tremendously.
