The Bruins' bottom six could use more bite, so they should consider targeting this Avalanche forward.

Jake DeBrusk and Charlie Coyle were The Hockey News picks for the mid-season Selke Trophy.

The Boston Bruins will likely have a noticeably different roster next season. Several players have expired contracts, and there is a decent chance that they will let multiple of them walk.

When looking at the Bruins' free agents, several are forwards. Jake DeBrusk, Danton Heinen, Pat Maroon, James van Riemsdyk, and Jayson Megna are among their UFAs. The Bruins will likely look to add to their forward group this offseason because of it.

While adding a top-six center and a top-six winger are two primary objectives for the Bruins, they also should look to improve their bottom six. They have a lot of cap space to work with for the first time in a while, and they must take advantage of it. Because of this, one specific player they should watch is Colorado Avalanche forward Brandon Duhaime.

Duhaime, 27, was on the Bruins' radar before he was dealt to the Avalanche by the Minnesota Wild at the deadline. When noting that they could still use a player like him on their fourth line, it would not be surprising if they made a push for him again this summer.

It is not a secret that the Bruins' bottom six could use more toughness and grit. Duhaime provides plenty of that. The 6-foot-2 forward notably had a whopping 208 hits in 80 games this season, split between the Wild and Avalanche. As a result, he would surely make the Bruins more challenging to go up against, which is an absolute necessity.
