This Bruins defenseman threw a big hit against the Stars.

The Hockey News Big Show - Jeremy Swayman Contract

The Boston Bruins suffered a brutal 5-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on Thursday (Oct. 24). With this, they have lost three straight games and sport a 3-4-1 record for the season.

While it was another tough night for the Bruins, defenseman Nikita Zadorov provided a positive moment. Nearing the end of the second period, the 6-foot-6 defenseman threw a massive open-ice hit on Stars forward Evgenii Dadonov.

This was not Zadorov's only big hit of the night, either, as he also got a good one on Stars captain Jamie Benn.

When the Bruins signed Zadorov to a six-year, $30 million contract this off-season, the expectation was that he would bring more toughness to the club's blueline. In this matchup against the Stars, he provided just that.
