Former Bruins coach Jim Montgomery made it clear that he is excited to be back with the Blues.

On Tuesday (Nov. 19), Jim Montgomery was fired by the Boston Bruins. It then took the 2023 Jack Adams Award winner just five days to land his next head coaching job with the St. Louis Blues.
Seeing Montgomery land a new job so quickly was not surprising, as he had plenty of success during his time with the Bruins and was not the reason for their early-season struggles. Once he became available, the Blues took full advantage of it and signed the former Bruins bench boss to a five-year contract.
While speaking with FanDuel Sports Network's John Kelly, Montgomery made it abundantly clear that he is thrilled to be back with the Blues, too.

Here is what Montgomery said on the matter:
"It's been a whirlwind of emotions for my family and I. All I know is I'm ecstatic to be a Blue. It's great to be coming home."
Before becoming the Bruins' head coach, Montgomery spent the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons as an assistant coach for the Blues. Clearly, he enjoyed his previous time there and is excited about this wonderful opportunity to be their head coach.
