This former Boston Bruins forward has been given a big opportunity from his new team.

During the off-season, forward Jayson Megna left the Boston Bruins organization to sign a two-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Colorado Eagles.
Megna is a player that the Avalanche know well, as he played for the organization from 2019-20 to 2022-23. Over that span, he had five assists and a minus-3 rating in 49 contests with the Avs. In addition, he had 41 goals and 82 points in 103 games with the Eagles.
Now, Megna has been given a big responsibility during his second stint with the Eagles, as he has been named captain of the AHL squad.
Megna appeared in one game for Boston last season, where he did not get on the scoresheet. Down in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, he had 19 goals to go along with 56 points in 69 contests.
