Former Bruins Star Heating Up With New Team

Back in late January, former Boston Bruins forward Taylor Hall was traded by the Chicago Blackhawks to the Carolina Hurricanes. It was not particularly surprising to see him get moved, as the pending unrestricted free agent was in the rumor mill for weeks leading up to the trade.

Hall had a slow start to his Hurricanes tenure following the move, as he had just one goal and one assist in his first 12 games. However, now that the former Bruin has become more adjusted to his new club, he is starting to heat up.

Hall is beginning to regain his offensive touch, as he has two goals and five points in his last five games. This includes a goal and an assist in the Hurricanes' last matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers on March 15. The 33-year-old forward also scored a goal in the previous contest before that against the Detroit Red Wings on March 14.

When playing at his best, Hall can be an impactful offensive contributor, and he is certainly demonstrating that with his recent hot streak. If he keeps this kind of play up, it would only make the Hurricanes an even more challenging team for clubs to go up against.

In 158 games over three seasons with the Bruins from 2020-21 to 2022-23, Hall had 44 goals, 67 assists, 111 points, and a plus-37 rating.
