This former Sabre has made NHL history.

It is not a secret that former Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel has thrived since his move to the Vegas Golden Knights. The superstar forward has done marvelously as the club's 1C and, of course, played a major role in their Stanley Cup last year.
Eichel, 27, elevates his play during the playoffs. Last year, he had six goals and 26 points in 22 games. He has done more of the same so far against the Dallas Stars this postseason, posting one goal and four points in just two games.
Due to Eichel's electric play in the postseason, he has now made history.

After his two-point night against the Stars, Eichel became the fastest U.S.-born player to hit 30 career playoff points, reaching the feat in just 24 games. This is a massive achievement, as he hit 30 points faster than some major stars, both in the past and present, like Brian Leetch, Joe Mullen, Adam Fox, Patrick Kane, Jake Guentzel, and Phil Kessel.
This is truly a marvelous accomplishment for Eichel, and it shows just how spectacularly he plays in the postseason. He was the missing piece that the Golden Knights needed to win the Stanley Cup, and now they are looking for the Massachusetts native to carry them to a second one.
