Players like Bradly Nadeau, Jayden Perron and Timur Mukhanov all have tremendous upside, yet slid down the board due to their size.
Of their 10 draft picks, seven were forwards, two were netminders and one was a defenseman.
The Canes also drafted five Russians, an area where they hope to find value as many teams have shied away from players from that region of the world.
