Only one thing is preventing Jordan Eberle from being moved to a new team.
EDMONTON -- Trade deadline week can be such a hectic time.
Especially for players - particularly the ones that need to pick up and go to their new teams in time to make it to a game. Edmonton Oilers acquisitions Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick will make their debuts tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Another reason for it to be so hectic - is the shear volume of speculation, conversation and straight up rumors that happen around this time.
Earlier today on X (Twitter) Frank Seravalli gave on update on a former Oilers forward.
Jordan Eberle and the Seattle Kraken appear to be at odds with a contract extension. According to Seravalli, the hang up in the deal is term. To me, that means that the player's representation is (perhaps) asking for more years than the Kraken are willing to offer him.
Seravalli joined Bob Stauffer on Oilers Now to talk about the Eberle contract situation with the Kraken. He had a few things to say of interest.

"Jordan Eberle's preference is to return to the Kraken. My understanding is that if Jordan Eberle does not have a contract by tomorrow - Jordan Eberle will be on the move. The Oilers are one of those teams that have kept tabs on that process."
"I would not be surprised to see the Oilers bring Eberle back."

Seravalli also described the contract extension negotiations as being "a grind" and a process that has stretched out "a month." If things are fractured between the player and the team - then the Kraken receiving an asset for this player should be an option that they strongly consider.
Tomorrow should be one interesting day.
