USA and Canada squared off after a long Olympic tournament in the Gold Medal game on Sunday.
In a game that went to overtime, USA was able to win Gold for the first time since 1980.
Minnesota Wild defenseman Quinn Hughes, who recorded a point in every game of the tournament, assisted on the opening goal, which was scored by Wild superstar Matt Boldy.
Boldy, 24, surged ahead before he flipped one in the air for a soft chip passed the Canadian defense.
USA was able to walk away with the win after Quinn's brother Jack scored in overtime.
The Wild will have three Gold Medalists with Boldy, Hughes and Brock Faber.
Some Wild staff also represented USA in the tournament. Wild and Team USA Staff members Bill Guerin, Chris Kelleher, John Hynes, John Worley, Travis Green and Joel Boyd, all won Gold.
The Wild will return to action on the road against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday before returning home on Sunday, the 1st, against the St. Louis Blues.
