Donskoi hasn't played a game in the NHL since 2022, and his career was cut short due to "multiple concussions."
The NAFL consists of six teams, including one California-based team, the Fresno Force.
Donskoi played seven seasons in the NHL for the Sharks, Colorado Avalanche, and Seattle Kraken. In 283 games in the regular season with San Jose, Donksoi scored 45 goals and 77 assists.
His all-time moment in Sharks history was his 2016 game-three Stanley Cup Final overtime game-winning goal. His winner will forever live on as the goal that gave the Sharks its first Stanley Cup Final win in franchise history.
Donskoi has seemingly found a way to play the game of hockey away from the ice rink.
