The St. Louis Blues have the 19th overall pick of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft later this month. The Central Division club will be looking to hit with this selection, as there still should be some very good prospects to choose from once they are up to pick.

In The Athletic's latest mock draft for the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, Scott Wheeler predicted that the Blues will select center Cole Reschny if he is still available with the 19th pick.

Reschny, 18, hit a new level this season with the Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League. After posting 21 goals and 59 points in 61 games with the Royals in 2023-24, the 5-foot-11 center recorded 26 goals and 92 points in 62 contests with the WHL squad this campaign. He also absolutely thrived during the playoffs, recording nine goals and 25 points in 11 games.

When looking at Reschny's production at the WHL level, it is clear that he is a special player offensively. However, he also has garnered praise for his defensive play, so he has the ability to make a difference in more ways than one. Thus, he would be an exciting prospect for the Blues to land in the first round, especially when noting that they need help down the middle.

If the Blues selected Reschny, he would instantly become one of their most promising prospects, as he has the potential to blossom into a top-six forward at the NHL level later down the road. It will be interesting to see if the Blues can land him with their first-rounder from here. However, with how well he played this season, it is certainly possible he could be picked before the Blues are on the clock.
