During this past off-season, the Tampa Bay Lightning acquired defenseman J.J. Moser from the Utah Hockey Club in the Mikhail Sergachev trade. The young defenseman is viewed as having great upside and is expected to be a key part of the Lightning's defense moving forward.
In the Lightning's latest matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights, Moser showed off his potential by scoring his first goal as a member of the Bolts. It was a beauty, too, as the left-shot defenseman blew by former Lightning forward Brett Howden and batted a bouncing back past Golden Knights goalie Adin Hill.
This was a great goal by Moser, and it shows that he can be an offensive threat. It will now be fascinating to see how he builds off it from here.
