Nils Höglander, Vasily Podkolzin and Nils Åman were some of the better-performing Vancouver Canucks players in Game 6.

Game 6 was disappointing for the Vancouver Canucks. They fell 5-1 to the Edmonton Oilers and played arguably their worst game of the postseason. Despite the poor performance, Nils Höglander, Vasily Podkolzin and Nils Åman all played well and finished as the Canucks' three stars for Game 6.

1st Star: Nils Höglander

While he only played 11:10, Höglander was noticeable throughout the game. He scored his first career playoff goal and finished the night with two shots, a hit and a takeaway. Ultimately, he was one of the few players constantly getting in on the forecheck and was rewarded for crashing the net.

2nd Star: Vasily Podkolzin

Podkozlin made an impact on this game, thanks to his physicality. He finished with four hits and was able to win a few board battles throughout the night. Based on his play in Game 6, he deserves to stay in the lineup, and if he can bring the same level of physicality, he could leave his mark in Game 7.

3rd Star: Nils Åman

Åman deserves a lot of credit for his work on the penalty kill. In the 55 seconds of shorthanded time he played, the Oilers managed one shot, which, according to Natural Stat Trick, didn't even register as a scoring chance. In the end, Åman continues to excel in his role and was one of the few positives for Vancouver in Game 6.
