The Vancouver Canucks played arguably their worst game of the 2024 postseason, falling 5-1 to the Edmonton Oilers in Game 6. Nils Höglander scored the only goal for Vancouver, while Artūrs Šilovs made 22 saves in the defeat. With the loss, the Canucks and Oilers will now face off in a Game 7 on Monday night, with the winner heading to the Western Conference Final to face the Dallas Stars.

Outside of the penalty kill, there are not many positives Vancouver can take away from this game. They recorded under seven shots each period, went 0-4 on the power play and were a mess when defending against the rush. Ultimately, it was another disappointing effort and one that could cost them the series.

The big question now is how will the Canucks bounce back in Game 7. Simply put, they need to come out strong and dominate from the opening faceoff. With the season on the line, it is time for Vancouver's stars to step up; otherwise, it could be curtains on the 2023-24 season.

    Facts and Stats

    - The Canucks record 15 or fewer shots for the second time this postseason

    - Vancouver has gone a perfect eight for eight on the penalty kill in the last two games

    - Filip Hronek records his first career playoff point

    - Dakota Joshua records his sixth game this postseason with at least six hits.
