During exit interviews, Vancouver Canucks players revealed injuries that they dealt with throughout the regular season and playoffs.
Brock Boeser's blood clot started after he blocked a shot in game one against the Edmonton Oilers. Boeser said it was a small bruise that got worse, and eventually, the clot traveled to a deep vein.
Boeser said this shouldn't impact his offseason training. He needs to be mindful of cuts and hits to the head while he is on blood-thinning medication.
Elias Pettersson revealed to reporters that he has been dealing with a "nagging" knee injury since January. While he said no surgery is required, he certainly admitted to it affecting his play.
Pettersson said his injury doesn't require surgery. Head coach Rick Tocchet said that Pettersson was dealing with Tendonitis.
Casey DeSmith felt a pop in his groin at the end of game three against the Nashville Predators. He wanted to play through it, but the team didn't want to take any risks due to Thatcher Demko's injury.
Canucks starting goalie Thatcher Demko didn't reveal his exact injury but did say it was on a fluke play.
"It was really hard [to miss games]," Demko said. "I was really close to coming back and probably would've been available in the next round had we got there."
