Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe was fined $25,000 for "unprofessional conduct directed at the officials" during the game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Keefe was ejected in the third period after Mitch Marner was called for a tripping penalty on Chandler Stephenson in the offensive zone. The Maple Leafs had just scored to make it 4-2 before Marner was called for the penalty.

Keefe was not happy on the bench and let referees Garrett Rank and Peter MacDougall know how he felt. The power play advantage went the Golden Knights way as the opportunities in the game were 4-1 in favour of the Golden Knights.

In Keefe's post-game press conference, he refused to make any comments about the officiating but was still handed the fine for his actions during the game.

Buffalo Sabres coach Don Granato was also fined $25,000 for "unprofessional conduct directed at the officials" in the Sabres game against the Florida Panthers.
