The second weekend of QMJHL action began on Thursday, with just one standalone game to focus on.

The only game scheduled on a Thursday night proved to be an interesting one, as a big third period from the Huskies pushed them past a Remparts team that's still looking for their first win of the season.
It was the Thomas Verdon show from start to finish, as his goal opened the scoring just 17 seconds into the contest, the first of his hat trick, five point performance. Xavier Lebel evened the affair near the end of the opening frame, and the Remparts looked the better team in the second period, outshooting the Huskies 12-5 and outscoring them 2-1.
However, the tide flipped in the third, with Rouyn-Noranda scoring three unanswered goals while outshooting Quebec 17-8, closing out a big home win for the Huskies.
Aside from Verdon's five point affair, Axel Dufresne and top 2026 NHL draft prospect Lars Steiner each grabbed a pair of assists for the Huskies, while Lebel (1+1) and Cal Uens (0+2) recorded multi-point affairs for the Remparts.
