Lately, they've been doing a good job at that. After a statement 5-0 win against conference-leading Blainville-Boisbriand Saturday, their next act was a weaker opponent in Sherbrooke coming into town on Sunday.
From the first period, the Huskies were in the driver's seat. Thomas Verdon and Jeremy Jarret scored 15 seconds apart in the first to give the hosts a 2-0 lead heading into the intermission.
The teams traded goals in the secnod, with Samuel Rochon halving the deficit just over a minute in, before Guus Van der Kaaij restored the two goal advantage later in the period. Chad Bellemare pulled Sherbrooke within one again late in the frame, keeping it tight heading into the third.
But from there, the Huskies took over. Jayden Pominville marked his fourth career QMJHL goal, before late markers from Lars Steiner and Verdon's second of the afternoon putting the game away for good.
Steiner had a big night, racking up a goal and three assists. Verdon had three (2+1) points, while Samuel Beauchemin recorded a pair of assists. Samuel Meloche stopped 27 of 29 shots for his 26th win of the season.
