Love was in the air Saturday in Saint John, and the team sent the 4,100 fans in attendance at the TD Station home with a Valentine's Day gift in overtime.

It was a big night for newly-acquired Jabez Seymour, who was acquired by the Sea Dogs on deadline day last month. He opened the scoring with his first goal with Saint John halfway through the first period.

The score would remain 1-0 for the hosts into the third period, where Shawinigan would finally answer through a Jiri Klima power-play goal. The Czech import doubled down six minutes later, giving the Cataractes a 2-1 lead with under 12 minutes to go.

But, with 25 seconds left, it was Seymour again who tied the game for the Sea Dogs, beating Mathys Fernandez to send the game to overtime. The Newfoundlander then ended it in the extra frame, completing the hat trick and giving his team the victory.

Alexis Joseph chipped in with two assists, including making the play for the overtime winner. In goal, Rafael Courchesne stopped 32 of 34 shots sent his way.
