Welcome to this edition of the 2026 WHL Playoffs daily recap. Every day, The Hockey News' WHL team will provide a summary of all the games that happened the night before. Here is the recap for March 31, 2026.
Prince Albert Raiders 4, Red Deer Rebels 2
Prince Albert Leads Series 3-0
The Prince Albert Raiders picked up their first road win of the playoffs thanks to a 4-2 victory in Game 3. Alisher Sarkenov stepped up with two goals for the Raiders, while Aiden Oiring scored the game-winner in the second period. As for goaltender Michal Orsulak, he had another strong performance, stopping 18 of 20 shots for his third win of the playoffs.
Medicine Hat Tigers 8, Regina Pats 2
Medicine Hat Leads Series 2-1
The Medicine Hat Tigers' offence was unstoppable on Tuesday as they defeated the Regina Pats 8-2. Andrew Basha led the way with two goals, while Bryce Pickford scored the winner while also picking up an assist. In the end, seven Tigers recorded multi-point games as Medicine Hat spread the offence around in Game 3.
Saskatoon Blades 4, Edmonton Oil Kings 3
Saskatoon Leads Series 2-1
What a series this is turning out to be. Despite recording 20 fewer points in the regular season, the Saskatoon Blades have jumped out to a 2-1 series lead thanks to an impressive 4-3 victory in Game 3. Saskatoon was able to erase a 3-1 lead in the second before Tristen Doyle scored in the third to send the fans at the SaskTel Centre happy on Tuesday night.
Calgary Hitmen 3, Brandon Wheat Kings 1
Calgary Leads Series 3-0
For the first time in this series, a game was not decided in overtime. The Calgary Hitmen were able to take a 3-0 series lead as Ethan Moore scored the winner in the second period. Tuesday once again featured a goaltending battle as Filip Ruzicka stopped 48 of 50 shots while Eric Tu made 35 saves in the victory.
Everett Silvertips 7, Portland Winterhawks 0
Everett Leads Series 3-0
The Everett Silvertips put on a clinic in Game 3 as they defeated the Portland Winterhawks 7-0. Andres Miller was perfect in net as he recorded the 19-save shutout. As for up front, all seven goals were scored by different players, including Julius Miettinen, who scored the game-winner and recorded an assist.
Penticton Vees 4, Seattle Thunderbirds 3
Penticton Leads Series 3-0
The Penticton Vees picked up the franchise's first road victory on Tuesday as they defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-3. Ethan Weber scored the game-winner in the third while Ryden Evers and Jacob Kvasnicka each had a goal and an assist. In net, Andrew Reyelts was a brick wall for the Vees as he stopped 29 of 32 shots in the victory.
Kelowna Rockets 7, Kamloops Blazers 4
Kelowna Leads Series 3-0
The goal lights got quite a workout on Tuesday as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Kamloops Blazers 7-4 in Game 3. Tuesday was the Tij Iginla show, as the Rockets forward scored twice and added two assists. Vojtech Cihar also continued his dominance in this series, finishing with a goal and three assists in the win.
