The Seattle Kraken prospect continues his dominant postseason run, officially becoming the highest-scoring Finnish player in Western Hockey League playoff history.

Julius Miettinen has permanently etched his name into the Western Hockey League record books.

During a dominant offensive performance this week, the Everett Silvertips star officially set the record for the most career playoff points by a Finnish-born player in WHL history.

Miettinen, a prospect for the NHL's Seattle Kraken, surpassed the previous postseason benchmark set by former Swift Current Broncos forward Aleksi Heponiemi.

Miettinen is currently riding a five-game point streak dating back to late April, serving as the offensive anchor for the Silvertips.

His record-breaking moment comes at the perfect time, right in the heart of the 2026 WHL Final against the Prince Albert Raiders. After registering a goal and an assist in a Game 1 loss on Friday, Miettinen responded with an absolute masterclass on Saturday night. He racked up four points (one goal, three assists) to lead Everett to a 6-2 victory, knotting the championship series at one game apiece.
