Team Canada stayed undefeated at the 2024 Youth Olympic Games, defeating Team Finland 4-1. With the victory, the Canadians claimed the top spot in the group, outscoring their opponents 12-1. Canada will now face the United States at 3:00 AM PT on Tuesday, with the winner booking a spot in the Gold Medal Game.

While most of the attention was on Alessandro Di Iorio, who had a hat trick, there were some standout performances from WHLers. Spokane Chiefs goaltender Carter Esler stopped 18 of the 19 shots he faced, while Vancouver Giants defender Ryan Lin scored a rare five-on-three shorthanded goal in the second. Overall, it was a solid game for the Canadians, who continued to show why they are arguably the most dangerous team at this event.
