Szturc has 67 points in 53 games for the Kelowna Rockets this season.

On Saturday night, the Tampa Bay Lightning announced they had signed Gabriel Szturc to a three-year, entry-level contract. The Kelowna Rockets captain was signed as an undrafted free agent and is in the final year of his WHL career. This season, Szturc is ranked sixth among Import forwards with 67 points and is on pace to surpass 70 points for the second straight season.
Szturc moved to the WHL before the 2021-22 campaign. The Czechian-born forward has played in 176 games, while his 187 points are the most by a European player in franchise history. Currently ranked 25th on the franchise's all-time points list, with a strong push, he could become the 21st player in Rockets history to hit 200 points.
