The Central Division-leading Medicine Hat Tigers are once again playoff-bound. The Tigers secured their spot in the 2024 WHL postseason thanks to the Calgary Hitmen's 2-1 regulation loss to the Red Deer Rebels. This is the second consecutive year Medicine Hat has qualified for the playoffs and will be looking to advance past the quarter-finals for the first time since 2017.

Led by rookie sensation Gavin McKenna and draft prospects Oasiz Wiesblatt and Andrew Basha, the Tigers are having a season to remember. With 75 points in 59 games, they are on pace to record their highest point total since the 2016-17 season. They will also be getting a massive boost before the postseason as the projected top-ten pick, Cayden Lindstrom, is scheduled to return before the end of the month.

Medicine Hat is currently neck and neck with the Swift Current Broncos to see who will take home the Central Division title. This is massive as whichever team claims the title is guaranteed home-ice advantage for the first two of the postseason. This also means avoiding the Saskatoon Blades until the East Final, which would be significant this postseason.
