Looking back at which Moose Jaw Warriors' players stepped up during the round-robin portion of the 2024 Memorial Cup.

The Moose Jaw Warriors are off to the semi-final at the 2024 Memorial Cup after going 1-2 during the round-robin. During the round-robin, many players stepped up, with three in particular standing out as difference-makers over the last week. Here is a look at Moose Jaws' three stars from the round-robin.

Denton Mateychuk

Denton Mateychuk has been Mr. Everything for the Warriors so far this postseason. He led all players during the round-robin in points (7), plus/minus (+6) while also being the only player to record a power play and shorthanded assist. The Columbus Blue Jackets prospect is leading by example and having a tournament fans in Moose Jaw won't soon forget.

Jackson Unger

If not for Jackson Unger, the Warriors would not be on their way to the semi-final. Unger leads all goaltenders in saves with 103, which includes a 49-save performance against the Drummondville Voltigeurs, which clinched Moose Jaws' first Memorial Cup victory in franchise history. A draft-eligible goaltender, it is safe to say his stock may have risen heading into the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

Brayden Yager

Brayden Yager has been a difference-maker this tournament. After the round-robin, he sits second in points (6) and shots (14) while also being the only non-London Knights player to record an insurance goal. The Pittsburgh Penguins prospect has stepped up throughout the postseason and will need to have a big game against the Saginaw Spirit if the Warriors have their eyes set on a Memorial Cup Final berth.
