The second round of the 2024 WHL Playoffs is complete, with the Portland Winterhawks and Prince George Cougars advancing to the Eastern Conference Final. The Winterhawks swept the Everett Silvertips in the second round, while Prince George took care of business against the Kelowna Rockets in five. Here is a look at four players who played critical roles in their team's second-round victories.

    Joshua Ravensbergen- Prince George Cougars

Joshua Ravensbergen was a brick wall all series. He went 4-0 against the Rockets, recording two shutouts and stopping 91 of 97 shots he faced. The rookie continues to elevate his game and will need to stand on his head if the Cougars want to advance to the Western Conference Final.

    Riley Heidt- Prince George Cougars

Riley Heidt was a star in the second round. The Minnesota Wild prospect had nine points in five games, including a four-point night in Game 5. One of the best playmakers in the league; he should cause Portland plenty of problems in their upcoming series.

    Tyson Jugnauth- Portland Winterhawks

Tyson Jugnauth was a force at both ends of the ice for the Winterhawks against the Silvertips. The Seattle Kraken prospect recorded three multi-point games in four games while finishing the series with a plus/minus of +9. It doesn't matter if Portland is on the power play or penalty kill; Jugnauth continually finds a way to impact the game.

    Kyle Chyzowski- Portland Winterhawks

Kyle Chyzowski looked like a man on a mission against the Silvertips. Chyzowski scored a power play goal in every game, finishing with five during the four-game series, which was surprising as he only had two all season. His goal-scoring will be crucial in the Western Conference Final as two of the highest-scoring offences go head to head for a spot in the WHL Final.
