    The Detoit Red Wings have many great NHL players over the years, but picking the four most iconic for their Mount Rushmore was a no-brainer, says Ken Campbell.

    The Detroit Red Wings were an NHL juggernaut in the 1950s, then spent the better part of four decades being really bad before becoming hockey's gold standard in the 1990s and early 2000s.

    In that time, they've had enough dynamic Hall of Fame players to make your head spin. But when it came to coming up with their Mount Rushmore, it might have been the easiest four choices of the 32-team NHL, both for past icons and the one to fill the requirement that at least one player on the monument has to be a player who is currently on the roster.
