Boston Bruins Send Tough Guy Back To AHL
The <a href="https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/boston-bruins">Boston Bruins</a> have announced <a href="https://x.com/NHLBruins/status/1908514145084846316">that forward Jeffrey Viel has been re-assigned</a> to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
Minten was acquired by the Bruins from the Toronto Maple Leafs as a part of the Brandon Carlo trade last month. Now, Minten is getting his first chance on Boston's roster.
Since the trade, Minten has appeared in 10 games with Providence, posting three goals, four assists, and seven points. Overall, he has played well with the AHL squad and has earned this big opportunity with Boston because of it.
Minten played in 15 games for the Maple Leafs this season before the trade, recording two goals, two assists, four points, and 36 hits. He also appeared in 26 games with their AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, where he had six goals and 13 points.
Minten is one of the Bruins' top prospects, so fans should be excited to watch what he can do with the NHL club. He has good upside, and it will be intriguing to see how much of an impact he makes during his first call-up to the B's from here.
