This Boston Bruins forward needs to have a big response game once he is back into the lineup.
The Boston Bruins are back on the ice tonight (Oct. 19) to face off against the Utah Hockey Club. After securing an impressive 5-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche in their last contest, they will look to get another victory.
Based on yesterday's practice (Oct. 18), the Bruins will likely sport a different lineup in this contest. After being scratched against the Avalanche, Morgan Geekie is expected to return to the lineup. If Geekie is officially back in the lineup, he will need to have a big response game.
Geekie, 26, has had a slow start to the 2024-25 season. In four games, the 6-foot-3 forward has zero points and a minus-4 rating. When noting that he also played on the Bruins' second line in each of those contests, this kind of start was underwhelming.
Morgan GeekieIf the Bruins go with yesterday's practice lines against Utah, Geekie will be on the third line with Matthew Poitras and Trent Frederic. Perhaps playing on a new line could help the skilled forward get things back on track. Remember, he had 17 goals and 39 points in 76 games just last season.
Nevertheless, all eyes will be on Geekie once he is back in the lineup. He is due for a big game, and it will be interesting if he has one.
